Light Years - Production Designer
Light Years was a MFA thesis film set during the space race in 1950s. Young Lizzie's is obsessed with space and shared that love with her father. After her fathers unexpected death she travels to space to look for him.
There were two major obstacles as a production designer for this project: set decoration and the construction of a spaceship.

Eel Market Set and Mrs. Colter's Apartment
The Golden Compass
I designed two sets from this film. I picked two very different sets because I wanted to challenge my skills on SketchUp and experiment with different textures in V-Ray.
Eel Market
This set challenged me because I wanted to create an organic looking outdoor wet market. Although the energy from the set will come in at the set dressing stage, I wanted to give a firm layout that provides structure for the set dresser.
A big challenge designing this set was creating realistic electricity wires that dropped over as well as the shop canopies.

Mrs. Coulter's Living Room
From my character analysis I concluded that Mrs Coulter is a very intentional and deliberate actioned women. Therefore I imaged her city apartment living room to have exquisite antiques - but all with a function.
My greatest challenge was designing bookshelves inspired from ones I saw at Bangkok International Airport. They were very unique and I tried to think of creative ways I could achieve the same lighting effect they had but be functional in addition to decorative. Mrs. Colter being a private woman I imagined would have many surprises hiding on her bookshelf that she didn't want her visitors to see until she introduced them.

Rules of Rescue - Art Director
SCAD collaboration with visual effects department and production design department.
The film was sit in a cabin of a post apocalyptical world where robots have taken over. The cabin is home to Mark who has been living on his on for many years now and salvages scraps to survive.
